Cascadia Student Network Account
Your student network account gives you access to the many services Cascadia provides over the campus network including:
- Student e-mail
- Office365 applications (Word, Excel, etc.)
- Printing
- Campus PCs
- UW NetID (for parking permits and Library resources)
- Student Help Desk portal (to borrow equipment or report an issue)
Getting Started
You will receive an email from Cascadia's Information Services department up to four weeks before you start your first class at Cascadia with your user name (typically in the format of firstnamemiddleinitiallastname). The email will be sent to the email you listed when you enrolled at Cascadia. The email will also include information on the pattern we use to determine your default password. If you do not receive that email or need assistance with getting that information, please contact the Information Services Help Desk to get assistance by chat or via phone at 425-352-8228 during our open business hours. We will verify your identity and assist you with getting logged into your account.
Passwords
Once you know your user name and password, you will need to use the Office 365 portal to reset your password. The first time you log in to your email or other Office 365 tool, you will be prompted to set up your account for password resets. Please refer to Setting up Your Account for Office 365 Password Management (Accessible Word Document) for step by step instructions.
Cascadia Student Network Accounts require the use of strong passwords. For details on the requirements to create an appropriate password for your account, please visit the Strong Passwords page and review the requirements listed. These requirements are updated periodically so Cascadia Information Services recommends checking that page if you are having difficulties setting a new password for your account.
Availability
Cascadia Student Network Accounts are only available to students currently enrolled in classes (or starting in classes within four weeks) and students who were previously enrolled in the past five quarters. Not all resources provided by these accounts are available to students who are not actively enrolled in class (ie UW NetID and Student Help Desk portal access). If you have questions about access to resources, please contact the Help Desk. Additional information on Cascadia Network Accounts and how to get assistance with them can be found at the Network Account page.
